Future of Navisight?

Are there any plans to update Navisight?

Will it be updated to work with the next release of VisualStudio (if needed)?

Yes, Navisight will certainly be upgraded to work with the next version of Visual Studio if for some reason it doesn't - which is highly unlikely.

Navisight does not get updated much because it is a solid, robust control and it has been a long time since anybody has a problem with it.
