Install Evaluation Copy Failed with Error Code 2869

Hi there,

I'm trying to install the evaluation copy of the Eyefinder package on a Windows Vista Business and the installation fails with an error code 2869.

Do anybody know about this error?

I had this exact same issue with SanDock for WPF install.

Open a cmd window (I used the VS2005 cmd window) and change into the directory where the install file is located.

Type in the following....

msiexec /i installfilename.exe

Thanks for you quick reply. Unfortunately I got the same result ;o(

I used the normal windows command promt as I don't see how the VS2005 command window can be used to run the msiexec program.

Tim Dawson found the solution which was to disable the User Account Control during installation.
