    Re: Ribbon Divelements Forum

Well, it was allways like this and i think it will not be changed.

Why? Well ... following text you can see at the index of this forum:
IMPORTANT: These forums are provided for discussion of our products between customers only. They are not for support from Divelements. For support from Divelements you should use Evaluation Support if considering purchasing licenses for our products, or Customer Support if you are already a customer. However, customers may find the searchable archive of questions and answers here helpful before contacting support.
If i have some problems with controls, then i send a message to Tim and he answer at the same or next day. If my problem is a bug and it can be solved, then i can request a fix and use it in my project up to the next release.

    Best Regards,
    Dream

Well....first thank you for your replay....
It was'nt always like this , look at this forum a couple of mounths a go - you can notice that Divelements used to answer posted questions at this forum - and at that time this forum was a live - people was really participated at this forum because they knew that someone from Divelements is watching and will help them...but now people just posting qoestion and no one anweres .So if you ask me - Divelements was wrong that the have devided it into Customers forums and Customers support.

    Thanks .

    ...it was allways like this...
I agree, it was not allways like this. At begin Tim answered to every post at the same day. Some time later he answered 1 time every week to all posts. Today he answered in unknown interval and i think not to every post.

...Divelements was wrong that the have devided it into Customers forums and Customers support...
Hmm... my company buy first components from Divelements at 18. October 2006. If i'm not wrong, then it was already devided into customer forums and customer support. But at this time was Tim very active in forums.

As a new potential buyer i will look at the forum and try to find solution for my problems and not contact a support.
So i agree, that the forum must be alive to, then a forum is like a knowledge base or even better!

I agree... I'm pretty disappointed at the moment.
Even though this is not the official support medium, etc. etc. no one (especially Tim) answering posts translates into me having less desire to write a post to help someone else, and that cascades into a dead forum.

    @deathangel
The problem is, that some problems are bugs in Divelements-controls and no one except Tim as a developer can help.

The most problem, that personally i have is, that there is no source code available for the customers.
If my license expires today and i found a bug at next day, then i must buy controls again and can't solve it myself. Sad [:(]
Also i found some limitations in override some functions, so i can't do some changes on controls without source code.

I don't have to many free time, but i count answers of Tim after 2007-03-29. He was realy busy. Yes [Y]
